Document Summary
Science with a short history and a long past. People have known for a long time that there are things within the body that direct behaviour. Long standing folk ideas about bodily factors effecting behaviour. Medieval view as a balance of 4 humours . Glands were known as important since aristotle (testes) Removing testes of animal changes behaviour and body composition changes. Boar taint (flavour of pigs that haven"t been castrated) Eunuchs (castrate so they lose interest in certain women) Castrati (castrate boy before he reached puberty so his voice didn"t change) - vocalists. As you"re going through your life, behaving, eating walking, your routines causes little bits and pieces of your body to break off and circulate in your blood. These organs floating in your body are being assembled into a small version of you in your testicles or ovaries. Then when you and your partner get together, these parts fuse and makes a baby.
