Document Summary

The article by tokin (2005) gave a broad overview of various health trends. It described and provided longitudinal statistics generated from the ahs surveys about trends in the different health aspects. It also described different risks and protective factors that are associated with these trends. The changes in the health trends are largely influenced by the resources there are provided in this current time of age. As the report has indicated, most of the risky behavior trends have been declined over the past decades. One of the biggest influential factors is, undoubtedly, public education. Unlike the previous decades, more educational programs are given to the public, which aimed to prevent people (from a young age) in any involvement of any harmful behaviors. For example, sex talk was a very sensitive topic. Even until now, it is still somehow a sensitive topic, but more people are willing to openly talk about it.
