One night stand is not an intimate relationship. Sexless marriages can have a lot of implications on people"s behaviour, etc. Relationships can get complicated, have phases, no concrete. Interdependence: mutual influence that 2 people have over one another. Can form internal representations of each other and their relationships (eg: can imagine them or each other and have specific thoughts and feelings about each other) Eg: gf deciding to move with her bf will elicit a response from the bf. Unlike unidirectional effects, where one person"s behaviour is affected (eg: you receive spam emails from some guy-->only your behaviour is affected - annoyed) Interdependence b/w a couple isn"t isolated to a single exchangeit extends over time, with later interactions b/w partners gaining meaning from the earlier interactions.
