Parents are aware of child"s level (ability/knowledge) to accommodate to their level. Not right to their level, but bring it up a notch they are able to learn. Natural observations- audio and coded notes: what is happening b/w parent and child. # of parenting behaviors per hour e. g. cooking or interacting with child. Quality and quantity of the number of words. All these variables can be explained with ses and iq.
