How has culture helped us understand knowledge acquisition. Used culture as a tool to help us understand experience. What are some of the similarities/differences observed and what are the implications. Different experiences , not whether you like or don"t like, it is sharing a concept. Intentions- some cultures don"t factor in intensions and only think about the actions ( could be a result of their experience with the natural world) Weird: we are always thinking about other"s minds. Does epistemological orientation shape reasoning processes? (e. g. humans one animal among many; shapes reasoning) Experiences: shapes how we understand and reason with it. (e. g. folkbiological knowledge) exposure to other forms of natural kinds and having a relationship with other kinds creates a change in reasoning and thought process. Domain specific- (e. g. i learn about biology- physh- math- like this ) separate categories. Domain generality- e. g. we don"t learn concepts in isolation. Folk psychology: how we think about other"s minds without training.
