Document Summary
Two spirited people: third gender = feminine man/masculine woman. Sworn virgins (a woman who have sworn to live her life as a man mostly due to the lack of men in the families and communities) Gender = state of mind and an embodied attitude. Sex = biological designation between male and female. Often used to discipline our thoughts and bodily affects. Concepts of gender are influenced by culture, politics, and history. Denoting/relating to a person whose self-identity conforms with the gender that corresponds to their biological sex; not transgender. Umbrella term that includes people whose gender identity is the opposite of their assigned sex (transman and transwoman) People who are genderqueer, bigender, pangender, genderfluid, agender, or gender non-conforming. The is no necessity dictating that a body-mind sexed female at birth will present itself to the world as feminine in adulthood, and no necessary sexuality to either sex or gender.
