Accuracy: the degree of closeness of a measurement to the true value (i. e. how close the estimate is to the actual value) Precision: the degree to which several measurements are the same or similar (i. e. repeatability) Accuracy and precision depend on: the age of the individual, skeletal elements available (some bones are more accurate), the number of skeletons available, and the method used. It is not recommended that you do sex determination on sub-adults as the methods we have are not very precise however, it is easier to estimate their age.
