Sound-any audible vibration of molecules (air or liquid molecules) Three main parts: outer ear-direct vibrating molecules to tympanic membrane, middle ear-tympanic membrane vibrates when contacted by vibrating molecules and makes the bones vibrate when stapes hit oval window makes fluid vibrate inside, auditory tube (pressure) Vertical acceleration or deacceleration causes hair cells on macula to move. Lacrimal glands-help clean eye, excess tears drain o nose (runny nose when crying) Blood shot eyes=dilated blood vessels in eye. Pupil is the hole in the iris where light comes in. Light coming in is interpreted by the retina.
