Earth"s interior: look at the slide pictures, asthenosphere (plastic): flows when objected to high pressure, flows slowly. Crustal thickness and isostatic adjustment: as we erode mountains they start uplifting (eroding = uplift, erosion accumulates in a water body, the crust starts to sink. The geologic cycle: rock cycle, minerals and rocks, igneous processes, sedimentary processes, metamorphic processes. The rock cycle: get picture of slide. Sedimentary rocks: sedimentation particles suspended in water particles settled on the bottom over time, chemical precipitation evaporate particles, salt and gypsum. Alternation of pre-existing rock by high temperature and high pressure.
