D: atmosphere: the layer of gases that surround a planet or other celestial body. Atmosphere is the reason for weather and climate. Atmosphere sustains life and provides the essential nutrients for life on earth. Evolution of life is linked to the change in atmosphere. Atmosphere constitutes a very small portion of the earth with relation to the diameter of the planet. It doesn"t take much to modify the atmosphere because of how small it is. The study of the atmospheric processes responsible for weather. D: weather: the state of the atmosphere at a given time and place. This involves the short-term statistical descriptions of the atmosphere. Depicted as a surface weather map (figure 1) Climate normal: average temperatures, wind speeds etc. updated every 10 years across 30 yrs. of data. Climate diagrams are described based on their variability in temperature and precipitation. All the sphere are interrelated and interact with each other in different ways.
