Week 3 nurs 1001 funding, policy and global perspectives. Led to the movement to create a prepaid medical and hospitalization service. Tenets of the canadian healthact: accessibility, public administration, comprehensive, universal, portable access to services across canada not portable to other countries, sustainable not an actual tenet. Accessible: some members of canada excluded (members of the canadian forces, rcmp, veterans, inmates of federal penitentiaries, and first nations and inuit health services have special considerations)
