Poisoning the well is under investigation of ad hominem where you expose hidden premises and conclusions that make it difficult to argue in the future (poisoning the well from anyone else wants to drink from it) The alleged authority has questionable or irrelevant credentials. Can be similar to ad hominem to expose controversial credibility.
