William james: sick soul sees more deeply into the nature of a healthy mind, they see something that we don"t see, you can"t change a sick soul or the healthy minded, there are degrees within each one. Pushes the sick soul to the bottom so that they feel absolutely powerless. The sicker the soul and the more radical the journey the different the power: belief that you have to hit rock bottom before finding their way out, deliverance. The idea of the sick soul being rescued: twice born. A man must die in order to be born into a new life: here is the real core of the religious problem help! For the sick soul they need help strict of power. Problems that they face aren"t ones that can be solved with will power etc. Cry out of the depths for help feel abandoned or powerless: the experience of the sick soul is not that uncommon.
