-Therapeutic groups should be smaller
-1.5 to 3 hours long
-weekly to monthly meetings
Benefits of Groups

-corrective recapitulation of "family or origin issues"

Downsides to Groupwork
-people's issues may be better served through individual work
-participants are often reluctant
-confidentiality issues

-can be chosen for budgetary reasons rather than therapeutic
