Document Summary
He could have been a religious zealot, an incompetent ruler, as he just took off and went to the desert for 14 years, or he was trying to get a handle on trade routes from aribia. His mother was a great believer in sin, the moon god. He wanted to build her a huge temple. He made an excavation, and old temple of sin, went digging through the foundations, looking for a tablet. When you built a temple, you would inscribe tablets about the building, burry them in the bases. What he believed was that at some point the god sin had visited the earlier god in a dream, and told him what the exact layout of a temple should be. Therefore, he wanted to build the temple exactly to the tablet. He built the temple along those lines, and made a tablet about all this, then buried it in the foundations.
