Possession cults and secret societies on the fringe, but still apart of the worldview practiced by these groups. View that they are above the complementary system, not above or below men o o o o o o o o o. Tribute to female power of ancestors and deities ( first mother ) Said to appease the anger of the goddess from switching to matriarchal to patriarchal. The marketplace metaphor it represents the world. The gelede dancers are men, but represent women (*think boys will be girls in samoa)
