Can be obvious (cctv) or subtle (taking attendance) Can perform surveillance and you can perform being surveilled. (all actions within themselves) When you know you are being watched, your behaviour tends to be different/changes. Signi cant historical moments:abolition of slavery, women"s rights, expansionism, civil war, social mobility. Wrote over 1800 poems, a dozen were published. Identify the purpose of your work: analyze. Discourses related to speci c times/cultures, and so are always changing.
