Changing biodiversity or landscape can affect species and some ecosystem processes. The change in number of species impact the biodiversity of that ecosystem. Land use change a forest to a crop and has impact on the biodiversity in hot ecosystem. A lake with organism is more functioning than a lake without species. Water loss change water regime of the ecosystem. Non-renewable: resources that are present in finite quantity, do not regenerate. Eg: metal extraction in ontario, metals, diamond, rare earth elements, phosphorous. Most resources come from oil. we can energy from biomass and hydro for electricity. Energy may be obtained from biomass by: methane from bacteria. Garbage decompose and burn out the methane so it does not explode. Lot of water movement happen in the summer and spring. Change the hydrology cycle in northern quebec and manitoba. We can also produce electricity through wind power. however, wind power is killing bird (influence biodiversity), makes a lot of noise.
