Chrysanthemum tells the story of a young girl with a unique name. Chrysanthemum loved her name as she continued to grow and get older, until her first day of kindergarten. Each day at school, her classmates would make fun of her name by saying various rude things to her and about her. When she got home, her parents always made her feel better by reassuring their love of her name and giving her delicious food. However, during the night, she either dreamt she was someone else or had a nightmare. Finally, they are introduced to a new teacher who loves. She is also named after flower and intends on naming her child chrysanthemum. From then on, all the girls that had be making fun of the. Chrysanthemum, now wanted their very own flower name. I chose the storybook for a couple different reasons. First of all, the story discusses a very common issue in schools.
