Car crashes, and suicides cause the most deaths in teens. Bad decisions are a way for teens to grow and learn. At their best teach us who we should be. Teens don"t see as many limits or barriers. Strongest characteristic is their curiosity about the world. Limbic system works faster in teens causes emotions. Without teens we would be short lived and stupid. Great ideas stem from being a teenager. Dopamine system not as strong risk, reward and motivation. Increase of dopamine happens with friend, exciting experiences, and risk taking. Stress is good for them; it helps them learn to adapt. Considering consequences is a skill they have to learn. Addition is more likely to occur in teenage years. Reasoning and the limbic system do not work together very much in younger years. When working with teens remember its rarely about you. Philosophy: general beliefs, concepts and attitudes possessed by an individual or group.
