My son the fanatic (story is set in england) Parvez (taxi driver, worked hard to pay for his sons education) the father of ali starts to get worried for his son when he sees him getting rid of all his things, his room is getting emptier and emptier. At first he opens up to his colleagues about it and they think he must have a drug problem and is selling his things to get money. Parvez shares this theory with bettina who tells him all the signs to watch for. Find out that he"s giving his things to charity so he is not on drugs. Parvez wife is given little to no importance. There is only one mention of her and in that mention he dismissed her. Eventually he finds out that ali has become fascinated by the muslim faith. Ali loses his friends, grows a sharp tongue and closes off everything that doesn"t support his religion.
