It is also wealthy domestic: maid, mango, salt, tv, etc. His wife brings out coffee and sugar-> domestic. He is no different from average everyday person (north american middle class: pull a bad full of ears on the table. Normalcy from a dinner to a disturbing image. Use of ears-> symbolic potential , punishment for people not listening to the government. Reducing to simple everyday things-> food talked before for most of poem.
