Scene where michel lees marseilles in a car he stole. As he is driving and talking to himself, several jump cuts disorient the viewer"s sense of ime and of space. There is no indicaion of how long he has been driving over the course of the sequences and of how far he will get. Rather than leeing from the police, michel spends his ime in casually in paris, spending ime trying to seduce an. There is a frank depicion of sexuality that is very diferent from what was shown in hollywood cinema. For example, when michel follows a man up an apartment building for no apparent reason, and then goes back downstairs to steal his car. Patricia tells michel she loves him ater she learns that he is wanted by the police, but then she calls the police to tell them of his whereabouts.
