Fetal stage begins 9 weeks after fertilization or 11 weeks gestation and ends at birth embryo now becomes a fetus. Week 12: fetal movements, early reflexes, urine production, finger and toe buds, fetal heartbeat can be auscultated with doppler. Week 16: can auscultate the heart with a stethoscope. Week 20: brown adipose tissue formation, feel fetal fluttering/movement, hair growth, meconium formation, passive antibody transfer.
