You recently joined a primary care network and are working with the nurse to identify and meet with all patients with diabetes. Sandra was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 5 years ago and is managing her diabetes with insulin. She has no other medical conditions, but is concerned about her insulin regimen. Type 1 diabetes mellitus diagnosed 5 years ago. Mother has diabetes and is alive and well. Insulin nph 30 units before breakfast & supper.
