Although it is a sensitive topic, it is important for social psychology. Uk to offer female muslim immigrants at first glance seems like a good policy. But upon closer inspection, it was seem that the uk will deport any muslim females whom do not pass the english. Also treats of deportation tend to add more prejudice and discrimination for that group. Stereotypes - beliefs that associate a group of people with certain traits. These are generalized beliefs, but are not always accurate (does not imply causation). Stereotypes simplify our world, so there are some benefits. This is the c (consequences) of the abc model. Prejudice - aka prejudgment, is a negative evaluation (can be positive, but this is less common) or affective response toward a group and its individual members. This is the a (ancients) of abc model. Discrimination - negative behaviour or treatment directed towards an individual or a group based on their group membership.
