Images need to be distinctive: if you use the same locations in different trials, proactive interference will build up. Memory errors: misinformation effect, false memories. Memory for future intended actions: want to pick up milk on my way home have to remember to do something when you get to that time in the future. Notice cue: have to notice the cue when it occurs. Retrieve action: once you notice the cue, you have to recall what you were going to do. Differs from retrospective memory because no explicit memory retrieval when cue is present. Familiarity of cue: gave people word span task to remember a list of words.
