Sense/nonsense judgements of sentences describing transacions (things moving from/away from you) Have to respond whether it is a yes or no, (yes is away, no is towards you (depending on trai))(since yes is away, and pizza is towards you, response is slower) Responses faster if compaible with meaning of sentence (give=away) Acion priming: orientaion judgements of pictures (right side up/upside down) Teapot handle on ls, a response is faster with the lh than the rh. The picture primes the acion you would use to interact with it. Acions immediately available even when unrelated to task. Suggests that grounding (connecion between objects and acions towards them) is immediate, not indirect: memory representaions oten not symbolic. Simulaion depends on context (cup full of liquid=drink, or clean=put away)
