Everyone likes the river valley in the city, everyone loves national parks, niagara falls etc. Displays of wealth in terms of controlling nature (parks in london etc. ) With these came vast amounts of problems. Determined that it was a lack of contact with nature. Only royalty and rich people were allowed into parks prior to birkenhead. Birkenhead park - liverpool: the rst publicly funded park in britain. Government money paid for a public area of green space. Do we need this relationship with nature? (big question) Most of the population was in the southern portion of the island.
