Document Summary
First person to put socology into print in 1838, orgionallly called social physics and saw people within socioty like molocules in a system. He saw society as being needed to be studied. He saw society as an object that could change or evolve over time in a series of predictable stages. He saw the evolution of societies as the departue of religion from society and the arival of more and more scienti c friendly. In the theological era (fictious), religion gives the answers to why things happen. Ex thunder is the work of an angry god, the movement of the sun is a god pulling the sun behind him on a chariot. However, these cannot be seen or proved, and is brought into question. Also, the actions of humans are discreditied and there accomplishments are simply that of the god. As the people begin to ask questions and move towards new answers they move into the metaphysical era (abstract).
