Prevention strategies for violence and abuse in intimate and family relationships: Primary targeted to the general population. Reducing poverty & unemployment, adequate housing, child care, education opportunities. Secondary targeted to families who are at high risk. Public education, parent support, child counselling, treatment, home visits. Shelters, safe houses, restraining orders, treatment of abusers.
