There is nothing innate about a sexual act or actor that is deviant and sexuality is not just a personal matter; it is defined by the social context in which it take places. Sexualized deviance: sexual behaviour, desire, or identity that violates or challenges ideas about "appropriate" or "desirable" sexuality. Reflect assumptions we have of feminists and masculinity and what it means to be men and women in our society and how they should act. We often associate sexuality with reproduction, particularly for women. We assume that women"s sexuality is tied to their desire to reproduce. We don"t really make room for anyone who doesn"t adhere to either the male or female category. Our ideas of sexual norms are entangled with ideas of race. Long history of the sexual objectification of racialized women-> black and aboriginal women are hypersexualized and there to serve those in power.
