Result in person being more open to religion/deviantized religious beliefs in general. Disillusioned with mainstream religion (not feeling fulfilled by community/norms) Not enough to convert you to cults-> need the second part too. Turning point/event that pushes you towards wanting to make a change. Need to feel connection to leader ad other members. What brings you to that option rather than another. Needs to feel like home you are searching for. Daily aspects/routine controlled by others and not yourself. What is a normal level of devotion to religion/beliefs. Accuse certain groups of brainwashing people, and others not. Allow certain beliefs to shape laws/institutions and not others. But broader those following pre-christian religions and expanded to anyone engaging in deviantized beliefs. Were used as scape goats, blamed for every problem. Systematic attempt to eliminate a group of people. Groups of people are killed by the masses because of their religion.
