The error of regarding an abstraction as a material thing, and attributing causal powers to it in other words, the fallacy of misplaced correctness. Reifying something means making something true, or defining something as true. A period of extreme excitement where the bounds of individuality are blurred, new social bonds are made, and new and old symbols are made meaningful.
