Goliath was terrorizing the israelites and everyone was too afraid of him because -according to the bible - he was over 9ft high and strong, and he could defeat almost anyone with little effort. David was a young shephard boy who steps up and is unafraid of the giant. He decides to challenge him and save his people from bieng terrorized. Like judith, david has god on his side, so even though he is small he is able to defeat the giant. He is offered armour but he declines, and he goes in just with his slingshot. He delivers the fatal blow to goliath in the middle of his head, then he takes goliath"s sword and beheads him.
