Pizarro: came to panama and discovered the pacific ocean. Decided it wasn"t enough for him to be the governor of panama. Tried to come down to peru, was not successful. When pizarro came the whole empire was in ruins. He finally began to come down in 1532. He knew that atawallpa was in cajamarca. Pizarro and his crew were scared of atawallpa"s army. Atawallpa and his men paid pizarro with lots of gold and silver in exchange to let him go. Diego de almagro"s job was to go to panama to get support. They decide to kill atawallpa, even though pizarro didn"t want to do that. They wanted to kill him to have 1 ruler in charge.
