Importance of feedback effects during changes in earth systems: everything is interacted, the feedbacks are what really drive the systems, example. Warmth puts more effect on the atmosphere than the actual original co2: it is the feedback that is really important for causing anthropogenic warming, there are examples of negative feedback which dampens change and keeps things stable. The practice of science: it is not as clear-cut as expected and there are not really as many facts, science does not deal in facts, scientific conclusions have varying degrees of probability of correctness. Degree of correctness varies from conclusion to conclusion. Think of probability of correctness not if it is correct or not: cannot prove anything, scientific conclusions may or may not be truth . Truth changes with time: although science is value-free, scientists may not be. Scientists essentially put their own belief into it.
