Sexual organisms divide their genes onto multiple chromosomes to permit . (on lecture slides) No gaurentee from parent that the offspring will grow as well as parent. Corn- naturally outcrosses (male at top, female at bottom) Good or bad for a farmer to grow up multiple land races: if he grows multiple it can wipe out all his crops from diseases. Beneficial to grow a number of different types of genotypes. Africa got corn from trading with mexico (little amounts of diversity in africa)
