Moral principle reason to say something is right or wrong. Ethics merriam-webster: the discipline with what is good and bad with moral duty and obligation, a set of moral principles: a theory or system of moral value, a set of moral issues aspect. Animals have moral standing they are members of our moral community. Animals are apart of us, we care about the animals for the animal itself. Animals do not have moral standing, they are not a member of our community. Kind to animals because of the benefits humans will get. Indirect moral obligations towards animal are based on how much they matter to humans (animals exclude from the moral community) Morality only applies to being who can enter into a contract. We should care about animal welfare because consumer demand it and we want to sell products . Human actions should produce the best possible consequence.
