Eggs need calcium so feed broilers calcium: no broilers don"t lay eggs and need calcium for growth not egg production. Food saftey: chemical and microbial impacts, growing organic and natural animals due to concerns of what is entering our bodies. Product quality: reducing stress, could make diets that reduce stress, impact on product pse, dfd, visual appearance and smell could be changed by nutrition. Effects on human health: fat content, citamin and mineral content, functional foods added benefit in foods, high omega-3. If the animal needs certain thing such as amino acids when it is a ruminant: quality, depends on ruminant vs. nonruminant, npn, quantity. If deficient we must supplement: species variation requirements of nutrients, forestomach microbial fermentation, ability to make proteins and vitamins, extent of microbial fermentation in git, nutrient sysnthesis in tissues, some can make vitamin c. Amino acid utilization: goal of animal production is protein synthesis.
