Scholars do not agree about class size: direct negaive relaion between class size and academic performance, typical variaion has litle impact on achievement. Small class size is preferable for students with academic diiculies. Quality of the interacions of teachers and students: how teachers interact with students, what expectaions and standards they have, what methods are used. Opimum school climate: supporive and dedicated teachers, firm but fair discipline, high expectaions for student performance and conduct.
