There is a general lack of aboriginal primary sources from before european contact. Poor source as most material evidence is hard to understand and only present from settled populations. Primarily present from european explorers from contact. Explorers mainly only experienced aborigi- nal populations during the summer, when they lived every differently from season to season. Believe to have been present in the americas since the be- ginning of time. Likely migrated between 80,000 bce and 10,000bce. 10,000bce date is veri able from evidence of uted point spears found that date to that time. Tribes migrated further as patted opened up, which lead to interbreeding with newly discovered tribes. Results include elimination of tribes and creation of new tribes. Estimated 500,000 natives in canada with concentrations on cascadian coast and great lakes region. C. 1500 believed for 9 different language families to have existed. Multiple bands make up single tribes and would share a common language.
