Social classes in sparta: spartians, spartam women (the general spartan population) Inferiors or illegitimate spartans/ those who lost their citizenship for some reason. They were distinguished by specific clothing and they were avoided by the general population. Also, they could not vote in the elections: helots serves, or rather slaves that were assigned to spartan masters. They were, however, allowed to participate in their own communities but they could not vote, and they had no rights.
