Bourgeois repression: conspiracy of silence around sex: a lot of places made their own charities and own institutions in order to help the poor. It became a police matter fear of disease. The history of sexuality is the history of what certain discourse have said about sex: church, law, family, medicine, education (pedagogy, philanthropy (social work and social science) Sex was not something one simply judged; it was a thing one administered.
