Origins in asia minor the black sea and the inland caspian sea, an area bordered by north eastern. Turkey, northern iraq, azerbaijan, and georgia is where the european/ caucasian grape (vitis vinifera l. ) domestication is paralleled with the transition of humans from nomadic hunter gatherers to sedentary villagers with semi-permanent agricultural pursuits.
