Know section 91, section 92, and section 93. Rule of law: the law applies to everyone, no one is above the law. The law is a civilized mechanism used to resolve different types of disputes. The law can"t touch your thoughts or creativity. The law can when you act on your thoughts: ex; sketch artist draws a bunch of pictures of children in sexual positions, gets charged with creating and distributing child porn. Argues in court that the charges are against freedom of expression, the court states that he is allow to have his thoughts but the action of putting them on paper allowed the conviction. Anything that we do day to day, the law has an impact. The only people not subject to our laws are diplomats. Therefore, canadian law doesn"t apply to them, once they are sent back to their own country they are subject to the law there.
