Photorespiration is not good for the plant its just necessary for photosynthesis (side reaction) Normally photorespiration is generating ammonia, glutamine synthetase is taking this ammonia and converting it to glutamine. Tabtoxin will cause large areas of necrosis large areas of yellowing as chloroplasts degrade. Southern corn leaf blight fungus bipolaris maydis.
