You have a message (product) that you need to sell to your audience. You must reach the audience through the right communication channels (placement) Be clear about your overall communication objectives. When do you want to achieve it. Why do you want to achieve it. Your audience is the group or person (stakeholders) you need to communicate with. What action you wish them to take. Stakeholder analysis speaking to - and may dictate how you present your message. Stakeholder analysis not on exam: brainstorm list of people, plot these people on a power interest grid, find out their motivations. You listen to understand if you message has been understand. You listen carefully to understand if/how your message should be tweaked for maximum effectiveness.
