Perceptions of disease (box 1 from model: perceived susceptibility to the disease, perceived risk, belief about chances of getting adverse health condition, to what extent do you believe you are susceptible, are you at high risk. Idea if you get ill you can nor provide for family: perceived threat of disease, combination of susceptibly and seriousness. Were there any cues to action: cancer scare can change your lifestyle.
