Women all over the world are affected differently. 3 indicators: stats on longevity, health and life expectancy, education. Mean years of schooling: and one more. Representation in parliament and education in respect to men: labor market. Slovenia had worst gii index in 2014: others very high are places which are in the top ten hdi. Countries with high development also experience high gender inequality. Countries ranking low on human development are not inequal. Modern conflicts do not take place on battle fields, theey are within cities where people are living. Women are raped: as a sign of control over the entire society. Because controlling a societies reproduction is controlling the next generation. Refined dependency theory and other neo-marxist approaches: similar to dependency theory the suggestion is women only projects to de-link them from their dominant patriarchal culture. Basically deconstruction the social constructs we have created role of women and role of men . Re-asserted many ideas of women in development.
